Olean - Mary B. Havers     "Loving Mother and Grandmother"

            Mary B. Havers, formerly of 1015 Deleware Avenue, passed away on Friday, April 12, 2019, at the Pines Health and Rehab, following a lengthy illness.

            Mary was born on June 2, 1928 in Olean and was a daughter of Christos and Sara Bidgood Beliles.  on January 16, 1942, in Olean, she married her husband of 70 years, Edward W. Havers, who predeceased her on October 12, 2014.

            Mary graduated from Olean High School.  She received her Masters Degree in English from St. Bonaventure University in 1965.  Mary was a life-long Methodist.  She was a member of the Christ United Methodist Church Butterfly Circle, as well as, being a Cub Scout Den Mother.  She enjoyed her flowers, gardening, and fishing in Canada with her husband, but she truly loved her family and raising her boys, whom she would do anything for and give them anything they needed.

            Mary is survived by; a son, Edward J. (Dorothy J. Cashimere) Havers of Olean; a daughter-in-law, Paula Havers of Olean; 5 grandchildren, Yvonne (Lloyd) Sweet, Jeff (Mary Ann) Hancock, , Jon Paul Sweet, Daniel (Patricia) Havers, and Rodney (Jannel) Havers; several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

            Along with her loving husband, Mary was predeceased by; a son Danny Lavern Havers in 1987; a grandson, Eddie Joel Havers Robinson; and 8 siblings, Frances (Willard) Deter, Katherine (Robert) Lamberson, George (Rita) Beliles, Freda (Edmund) Shultis, Anna (doran) Slocum, Jeanette (James) Dagon, and Nicholas and Sophia Beliles who both died as infants.

            Friends will be received at the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc., 646 E. State Street, Olean on Tuesday, April 16, 2019 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm and also on Wednesday, April 17, 2019 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, at the Christ United Methodist Church, 633 Linwood Avenue, Olean, at which time a funeral service will be held.  The Rev.
