Mary A. Gaylor of 2845 Rt. 16 North, passed away on Friday, April 15, 2016 in the Buffalo General Hospital following an illness.
Mary was born on Nov. 5, 1934 in Olean and was a daughter of the late Harry & Thelma Sherring Kincaid. On April 18, 1953 in Olean she married her loving husband of 38 years Edward Lee Gaylor, who pre-deceased her on Nov. 20, 1991.
Mary was a 1952 graduate of Olean High School. She worked at Lob laws (Weston Shopper's City) until they closed in about 1973. She then went to work at ALCAS Cutco Cutlery where she retired from after about 15 years in 1992. Mary enjoyed crocheting, reading, going to Hinsdale Winter Color Guard and going to the Cutco Retiree's Luncheons. But Mary's true love was her family, who she loved spending time with and especially her grandchildren and her friends. She was a 50 plus year member of the Lady's Aux of the Hinsdale Fired Department.
Mary is survived by four children, Terry M. Gaylor of Olean, Jimmy K. (Terri) Gaylor of Ceres, NY, Cindy L. (Phil) Cole of Hinsdale, and Lori S. (Greg Neuland) Gaylor of Olean; eight grandchildren, Michael (Betsy) Cole, Kristina Cole, Terry (Jamie Rice) Gaylor, Jr., Matthew (Tara) Gaylor, Christopher (Jennifer) Gaylor, Eric Gaylor, Jordan Gaylor and Hailee (Dan) Cowelly; many great and great great grandchildren; three siblings, Jack E. Kincaid of Olean, Jerry W. (Sharron) Kincaid of Portville, and Peg A. (Jerry) Petrillo of Olean; and several nieces & nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mary was pre-deceased by a great granddaughter, Skylar G. Gaylor on Jan. 20, 2012 and a brother, Walter "Buck" Kincaid.
Friends will be received on Tuesday April 19, 2016 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 7:00pm to 9:00 pm in the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc., #646 E. State St., Olean. Where Funeral Services will be held at on Wednesday April 20, 2016 at 11:00 am. The Rev. Suzanne M. Block, Pastor of Christ United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in the Hinsdale Cemetery, Hinsdale.
