Allegany- Mark Richard Hoppy “Loving Son & Brother”

Mark Richard Hoppy of Walworth, NY passed away peacefully in his home Sunday, December 24, 2023, with his best friends, Jake Roth and David Pinaire by his side.

Born July 20, 1970, in Olean, he was the son of Bruce R. and Sandra L. Croyle Hoppy.

Mark attended Allegany Central High School and moved to Rochester as soon as he could where he began working, pursued his love of motor cross racing and raised two beautiful chocolate Labradors, Lady and Mia. He made a career as a heavy equipment operator with Victor Excavating for 37 years until his retirement in the summer of 2023 due to illness. Mark helped so many friends along the way, letting them learn from his experiences, he will be impossible to forget.

Beside his father Bruce, Mark is survived by his beloved sister Valerie L. (Peter) Pensabene of Richmond, VA.

He was predeceased by his mother, Sandra, paternal grandparents, Leo and Jean Hoppy and aunt, Judy Hoppy-Smith.

Friends will be received at the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc., 646 E. State St., Olean on Friday, December 29, 2023, from 3:00 to 6:00pm and Saturday December 30, 2023, from 10:00 to 11:00am at which time a funeral service will be held.
