Midge C. Dean, 73 formerly of 2650 Wolf Spring Rd, passed away Thursday, August. 11, 2016 in the Elderwood Nursing Home, Hornell, following a lengthy illness. Midge was born July 13, 1943 in Wellsville and she was a daughter of the late Herman M. & A. Arlene Singer Miles. She was formerly married to James R. Stuck, Sr. On Nov. 30. 1985 in Scio she married Grant L. Dean, Sr. who pre-deceased her on July 18, 2004. Midge worked at a number of places, including AVX and the Foundry in Friendship before going to work with her husband at Breezy Point Campgrounds that he owned and operated until their retirement in 2003. She was a member of the Knight's Creek Evangelical Methodist Church. Midge was formerly a member of the Genesee Valley Grange #1109. Midge enjoyed watching movies, decorating cakes, going out to eat, playing cards, crocheting, and coloring books, but most of all she loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them. Midge is survived by three children, Jeffrey J. (Dawn) Stuck of Belmont, James R. "Jamie" (Lynda) Stuck of Bolivar, and Darlene M. (Matt) Tunall of Manchester, PA; six Grandchildren, Joshua Stuck, Craig Mix, Treavor Elliott, Zachary Stuck, Casey Stuck, and Jordan Tunall; six great grandchildren, Ryliegh, Adrianna, Allie, Gabriel, Julian, & Evelynn; one sister, Marjorie E. Horton of Hornell; and several nieces & nephews. In addition to her parents, Midge was predeceased by two brothers, Williard M. "Bill" Miles and Karl E. Hakes. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Aug. 27th, 2016 at 11:00 AM in the Knights Creek Methodist Church. The Rev. Karl Kemp, Pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in the Knights Creek Methodist Church Cemetery, Scio. Memorials may be made to the Knight Creek Methodist Church.
