Lynn M. Austin of 7881 Monahan Road passed away Tuesday, July 2, 2008 at home surrounded by her loving family.
Born Jan. 11, 1946 in Olean she was a daughter of Martin D. and Edith Lorraine Case Butts. On August 1, 1964 in the West Clarksville Baptist Church she married Kenneth H. Austin who, survives.
Mrs. Austin was a 1964 graduate of Richburg High School. She works for a couple of years in the late 1970's as a seamstress in her mother store "Lorraine's " on Front Street, in Olean. She also worked at the Wellsville Country Club for about three years from 1999 to 2001.
Mrs. Austin was a long time member of the West Clarksville Baptist Church. She enjoyed camping and being at their camp, traveling, sewing, ironing and pen collecting. Mrs. Austin was known as a jokester, having a good outlook in life and never forgetting a birthday or an anniversary. Most of all she truly loved her family and enjoyed being with them and taking care of them.
Surviving Mrs. Austin besides her husband are her mother, Lorraine Butts of Clarksville; four children, Kelly L. (Walter J.) Rix of West Clarksville, Twins, Kenneth D. (Arlene) Austin of Bolivar and Kenda D. Collins of West Clarksville, and Christopher M. (Shannon D.) Austin of Bolivar; 13 Grandchildren, Amanda M. (Ben) Nease, Katelin M. Rix, Walter Jordan Rix, Kameron D. Austin, Aleesha M. Austin, Adam C. Austin, Matthew C. Dameron, Elizabeth D. Collins, Hannah L. Collins, Brittany Collins, Sierra N. Wiech, Caleb M. Austin and Camryn A. Wiech; two brothers, Marvin (Donna) Butts of Allentown, and Morey (Michelle) Butts of West Clarksville; and five sisters, Louise (Art) Wilcox of Olean, Lois Arnold of West Clarksville, Lucille Kyser of West Clarksville, Lene (Bruce) Jones of Richburg, and Luanne (Martin) Smith of Cuba.
Mrs. Austin was pre-deceased by a brother, Martin Butts in 1986, and a brother in law, Lloyd Arnold in 2004.
Friends will be received on Saturday, July 5, 2008 from 2-4 & 7-9 P.M. in the West Clarksville Baptist Church, where funeral services will be held on Sunday, July 6, 2008 at 3:30 P.M. The Rev. Leslie E. Chambers, Pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in the West Clarksville Cemetery.
