Franklinville- Luan Woodruff “Loving Wife, Mother & Sister”

 Luan Woodruff of 1624 Rt. 16, passed away on Tuesday, October 1, 2024 shortly after arrival at the Olean General Hospital. 

 Luan was born September 23, 1958 in Wellsville and was the daughter of Donald E. and Rosemarie Tarr Matteson Sr. On August 14, 1998 she married her loving husband Leonard L. Woodruff who survives. 

 Luan was formerly a member of the Ischua Fire Department Lady’s Auxiliary. She enjoyed crocheting, making chocolate/candy, crafting and playing bingo at the Ischua Fire Hall. 

 Along with her husband Leonard, Luan is survived by; 5 children, Emma R. (Eric) McDowell of Wellsville, Paul D. Brent Jr. of Middleport, Leonard L. (Tammy) Woodruff of Franklinville, Maryann (Robert Beatman) Woodruff of Allegany and Matthew A. Woodruff of Cuba; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; 5 siblings, Donna (Rick) Button, Martin (Denise) Matteson, Debbie (Russell) Wilber, Donald Matteson and Dorene (Mike) Weir; and many nieces and nephews.

 Luan was predeceased by; her parents, a daughter, Delores “DeeDee” Brent on October 4, 2007 and a granddaughter, Richelle Fancher on February 6, 2023. 

A Celebration of Life Dinner will be held on Thursday, October 10, 2024 at 3:00pm at the Ischua Fire Hall, 5634 Route 16, Hinsdale NY 14743.
