Olean- Laura E. Bailey "Loving Daughter, Granddaughter and Sister "
Laura E. Bailey of 115 N. Clark Street, passed away Friday, Jan. 7th 2022 in the Olean General Hospital, following a bout with pneumonia.
Laura was born on November 11, 1984 in Olean and was a daughter of Patricia Monroe Lyman and James L. Bailey. She was a 2004 graduate of Olean High School and worked at Subcon until May of 2005 when she received her first Spinal surgery. Laura's employment continued at the Dayhab Program at Rehab Center, now know as Intandem. In 2016 she left her job and joined People Inc. for which we are so grateful, for she truly enjoyed the program and the people so much.
Laura fought her entire life to live. She had cerebral palsy, scoliosis, and many health issues that tried to limit her. She never saw a flaw in others and if you were ever graced with her presence, you felt loved. Laura loved everyone and everyone loved her. If you knew her, you knew an angel.
Laura is survived by her mother who was her best friend Patricia A. Lyman of Olean, her maternal grandmother Geraldine Monroe of the Pines in Olean, two brothers Eric J. and Steven V. Bailey of Olean, a sister Alicia N. Bailey of Summerville, SC 2 nephews and 3 great nephews, aunts and uncles, cousins extended trail of friends including her loving dogs Jack & Sydney who miss her.
Friends will be received in the Olean Community Church 145 S. 26th Street, Olean on Wednesday, Jan 12, 2022 from 10:00 am to 12 Noon at which time a Memorial Service will be held. Pastor Bryan D. Garrett, will officiate. Burial will be in the Maple Lawn Cemetery, Bolivar.
