Allegany – Keith B. Tarr, Sr. "Loving Father and Grandfather"
Keith B. Tarr, Sr., of 2812 Rogers Road, passed away on Thursday, August 19, 2021, at the Buffalo General Hospital, following an illness.
Keith was born on December 14, 1960 in Wellsville and was a son of Leslie and Ruth Champlin Tarr, Sr. On March 19, 1982 in Genesee Township he married his wife of 31 years, Bonnie L. Bowker, who predeceased him on September 8, 2013. He married Marianne Horton, who survives.
Keith worked in a number of places including the Oil Fields, TCG materials in Freedom, which is now LaFarge's, OSM in Olean, and IAG in Portville, where he retired in 2016 due to illness. He enjoyed racing, hunting, fishing, playing guitar and piano, singing, and being outdoors. Keith was a "Jack of All Trades," tinkering on tractors, but most of all he loved his family and spending time with them, especially his grandchildren.
Along with his wife, Keith is survived by; his children, Keith B. (Amanda) Tarr, Jr. of Olean, Bonnie L. (Andy) Eschrich of Kane, PA, Kay M. (Roger) Brown and Mina M. Tarr both of Hinsdale, and Philip (Alyssa Santangelo) Hollowell, Jr. of Allegany; his stepsons, Jeffery L. Haberer of Salamanca and Daniel E. Fonczak of Bolivar; 13 grandchildren, Alissa, Danny, Kellylin, Keaton, Tyler, Abbygale, Chloe, Stormie, Lyla, Gunner, Ryan, Kaitlyn, and Shawn; 5 siblings, Rose Mattison of Ischua, Leslie (Sandy) Tarr, Jr. of Olean, Gene Tarr of Little Genesee, and Gary (Angel) Tarr and Shari Common both of Allegany; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
Along with his parents and first wife, Bonnie, Keith was predeceased by; a daughter, Abby Tarr on October 31, 2003, 2 infant sons, Leslie H. Tarr in 1983 and Joe Ronzil, and 2 sisters, Barb McDonald and Mary Dash.
Friends will be received on Monday, August 23, 2021 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc., 646 E. State St., Olean, where a Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at 11:00 am. The Rev. Linda Eschrich, will officiate. Burial will be at Five Mile Cemetery in Allegany.
