Kathryn L. Blackmon

Kathryn L. Blackmon of 1788 A Portville - Obi Road, passed away Friday, Sept. 28, 2012 in the Hart Comfort Home in Wellsville, following an illness. Kathryn was born on Feb. 19, 1935 in Hinsdale and was a daughter of William and Bina Brown Isaman. On November 27, 1954 she married her loving husband of almost 59 years Stanley F. Blackmon, who pre-deceased her on August 11, 2012. Kathryn worked in the meat department at Leo's Market and then she worked at Crosby Dairy in Hinsdale for many years. Kathryn loved her family and enjoyed taking care of them. She enjoyed playing cards, bowling and especially playing & swimming with her grandchildren. Kathryn loved her Lord and was very active in her church the West Clarksville Baptist Church. Kathryn is survived by two sons, Stanley F. "Skip" Blackmon of Portville, and Randy L. (Melissa) Blackmon of Olean; one daughter, Ann M. (Stephen) Ide of Bolivar; five grandchildren, Brooke (Gary) Fusco, Heather (Arijit Guha) Ehlers, SSgt. Ryan (Erika) Ehlers, Dustin Blackmon, and Taylor Blackmon; two great grandchildren, Evan Fusco and Sophia Ehlers; four brothers, William (Carol) Isaman of Eldred, Ronald "Icky" (Barb) Isaman of Olean, Keith (Ginger) Isaman of Tennessee, and Paul (Lynn) Isaman of Olean; and three sisters, Etta Firkel of Bolivar, Donna Mallery of Bradford, and Suzanne Isaman of Olean. Kathryn was pre-deceased by a sister, June Maine. Friends will be received on Monday Oct. 1, 2012 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm & 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm in the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home #646 E. State Street, Olean. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday Oct. 2, 2012 at 1:00 pm in the West Clarksville Baptist Church. The Rev. Less Chambers, Pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Olean.
