Judy A Hoppy-Smith

Judy A. Hoppy-Smith, formerly of Allegany and Walworth, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 25, 2013 at the Blossom South Nursing Home, following a lengthy illness. Judy was born Aug. 8, 1948 and was a daughter of Leo and Jean Markley Hoppy. Judy graduated from Allegany Central School in 1966. She attended SUNY College of Technology at Alfred and graduated from Olean Business Institute. Judy moved to Rochester where she worked as a secretary first at the Lincoln First Bank, then at Kodak for a short time, and finally at Hammer Litho in Henrietta for a number of years until she became ill in the early 2000's. She enjoyed her cats. Judy is survived by one nephew, Mark R. Hoppy of Ontario Center; one niece, Valerie L. (Peter) Pensabeng of Richmond, VA; and one brother, Bruce R. (Sandy) Hoppy of Allegany. Judy was predeceased by one twin sister, Janice Hoppy who died as an infant. Friends will be received Sat. Dec. 28, 2013 from 5 PM to 7 PM and Sun. Dec. 29, 2013 from 12 PM to 1 PM at which time funeral and committal services will be held. The Rev. James Vacco will officiate. Visitation will then continue until 2:30 PM. Burial will be at St. Bonaventure Cemetery. In lieu of flowers Memorials May be made to The National Kidney Foundation, Inc. 310 Packetts Landing, Fairport, NY 14450.
