Olean- Judith Benson Mark “Loving Wife & Best Friend”

 Judith B. Mark, 83, of 716 Grandview Ave. passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving husband and other family members on Wednesday, December 11, 2024 at the Olean General Hospital.

 Judy was born October 25, 1941 in Olean and was the daughter of Gunnar and Ethel Bergstrom Benson. On July 5, 1969 at the St. Bonaventure Friary Chapel she married her loving husband of 55 years, Terrence J. Mark, who survives. 

 Judy was a 1959 graduate of Olean High School. She was a loyal secretary at the Cecchi New Agency for over 35 years. Judy later worked at H & R Block and ALCAS Cutlery. 

 Judy was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church and previously had served on its church council and as the Church Council President.

 Judy enjoyed cooking, reading, fishing and spending her vacations at the ocean.

 Along with her loving husband, Terry, Judy is survived by; 2 sisters, Kay Carlson of Greenville, SC and Karen (Steve) Balcerzak of Olean; a brother, Terry (Valerie) Benson of Olean; 5 nephews, Bryan Benson, Kyle Balcerzak, Erik Balcerzak, Mike Carlson, and John Carlson; 2 nieces, Heather Benson and Brenda Rutledge; and a grandniece, Kyra Balcerzak. 

Friends will be received on Tuesday, December 17, 2024 at Bethany Lutheran Church, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at which time a Memorial Service will be held. Rev. Gerald E. Zimmerman will officiate. Burial will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc., 646 E. State St., Olean.
