Portville- Joseph W. Miller “Loving Husband, Father & Grandfather”
Joseph W. Miller of 9 Colwell Street passed away on Tuesday, November 22, 2022, at the Olean General Hospital following an illness.
Joe was born on May 21, 1964 in Mt. Holly, NJ and was the son of Franklin M. and Rose Foster Miller, he was married to Amy Ortega Miller.
Joe was a class of 1982 graduate of Portville Central School where he was fondly known as “Papa Joe” and “Joe Mac Daddy” Joe lived in a number of states including Florida and Texas before moving back to Portville. He was a foreman for Patch and seal for 15 years and then he became a handyman and contractor and became very good in all the trades
Joe was an artist and very creative in woodworking. He loved riding his Harley.
In addition to his loving wife Amy, Joseph is survived by; 10 children, Steven L. (Tera) Henderson of Santa Fe, TX, Stacy M. Henderson of Dickinson, TX, Frankie J. Miller of Olean, Amy Rose (Guillermo) Molina of New Braunfels, TX, Brooke M. (Brook) Jackson of West Seneca, James H. Green of New Braunfels. TX, Shyanne A. Ortega of Titusville, FL, Tayler R. Rodgers of Olean, Airamis J. Miller of New Braunfels, TX and Journey C. Miller of Portville; several grandchildren including his latest granddaughter Precious; a sister and a brother and several nieces and nephews.
Joe was predeceased by his parents and a daughter Airika J. Miller on March 16, 2001
Friends will be received at the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc., 646 E. State St., Olean on Monday, November 28, 2022 from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm at which time a memorial service will be held.
