Olean- John Howard Klice “Loving Companion & Father”
John Howard Klice of Eden Heights, passed away on Wednesday, May 18, 2022, following a lengthy illness.
John was born September 3, 1949, in Olean and was the son of Howard Francis and Janice O’Dell Klice.
John was a graduate of Allegany High School class of 1967. He attended Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. John then served in the US Marines during the Vietnam War from January 13, 1969, to September 24, 1971. He worked as a Technician at KODAK in Rochester for 24 years retiring around 1999.
John is survived by; his loving companion, Faith Thrush Tanner of Olean; 5 children, Beth (Chris) Thrasher of Raymond, MS, Zachary Klice of Mt. Morris, Jason Klice of Buffalo, Julene (Jason) Stewert of Canton, MS, and Carrie (Bud) Phillips of Madison, MS; 2 step sons, John Beatty III of Limestone and Christian Beatty of Bradford, PA; 9 grandchildren, Tylor, Tori, Clayton, Sophia, AJ, Dawson, Lillie, December, TJ, Natilian, Leah, Denzil, Shane and Lisa; 4 siblings, Dan (Teresa) Klice of Olean, Howie (Karen) Klice of Jacksonville, FL, Bryan (Stephanie) Klice of Friendship, Laurie Klice of Bradford, PA.
John was predeceased by his parents and a stepson Troy Taylor.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday May 26, 2022, at 2:00pm Harvest Field Outreach, Pastor Douglas E. Travis will officiate. Burial will follow in the Veterans Field of Honor in Mount View Cemetery, members of the Allegany American Legion Charles Harbel Post 892 ritual team will accord military honors.
