Franklinville – Jeffrey Paul Coen
Jeffrey Paul Coen, "Jeff" , 59 of Franklinville, passed away at home after a courageous battle with cancer on Friday, October 22, 2021.
Born on Thursday, January 18, 1962 in Olean. Jeff was the youngest of three children and the son of Loyd "Jupe" Coen and Neva Warner Coen Boysha.
Jeff spent his childhood growing up and attending school in Franklinville, at age 10, he relocated with his family to Hinsdale. Jeff graduated from Hinsdale Central School and was also a graduate of BOCES Masonry program. Jeff was an expert and skilled mason his entire life. He was employed by masonry and general contractors in the greater Olean and Buffalo area, as well as working on many projects with his son Tyler. Jeff was a member and a past commander of Sons of Hinsdale American Legion #1434.
Jeff enjoyed spending time outdoors, hunting, he was an avid Buffalo Bills fan and devoted to companions, his dog Bones and his two kitties Gracie and Alex.
Jeff is survived by his loving family, sons Tyler (Siriah) Coen and Travis (Macey) Hodson, stepchildren Sean (Jolean) Reitz and Amber Reitz. His mother and step father, Neva and Joe Boysha, sister Kay (Reid) Coen-Lubojasky and sister-in-law Sara Coen, Jeff leaves seven grandchildren, Rueger, Jailin, Gatlin, Jayden, Cohen, Corey, Connor, Several nieces and nephews, his son's mother Audrey Shoup as well as many other family members and friends.
Jeff was predeceased by his father, Loyd "Jupe" Coen, Brother Bob Coen and former wife Barbara (Pixley) Coen.
Friends are invited for a celebration of Jeff's Life Gathering on Saturday, November 6, 2021 from 12:00 PM to 2:00PM at the Hinsdale American Legion Post #1434. Burial will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc., 646 E. State St., Olean.
