Jeffery M. Baum of 511 � Irving Street passed away today, Feb. 9, 2011 in the Olean General Hospital surrounded by his loving family.
Jeffery was born on March 22, 1971 in Olean and was a son of Phillip M. and Rita E. Jobe Baum, Jr. He was a 1991 graduate of Olean High School. Jeffery worked for Sub-Con Industries for more than 15 years. He primarily cleaned the Cattaraugus County Office Bldg but he also cleaned at Reed's Food Barn.
Jeffery was known to many people as "Shag and or Trouble". No matter where he was a he always knew somebody or somebody new him. He was a member of St. Mary of the Angels Church. He loved all sports and especially love all sports at St. Bonaventure University, where he could be seen at all their games whether it be basketball, baseball, or soccer both men's and ladies. Jeffery participated in the Special Olympic was an avid Yankee and the 49's fan. Jeffery loved his family and especially loved his nieces and nephews whom he enjoyed spending time with.
Jeffery is survived by his mother, Rita E. Baum of Olean; two sisters, Patricia A. (James) Jobe-Crandall of Olean, and Christine M. (Matthew) Foster of Olean; three nephews, Jaysen Baum, Kyle Crandall and Brock Foster; two nieces, and Hailey Foster and Mattison Foster.
Jeffery was pre-deceased by his father, Phillip M. Baum on Oct. 16, 1991.
Friends will be received on Friday Feb. 11, 2011 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm in the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc. #646 E. State Street, Olean. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Feb. 12, 2011 beginning with a prayer service in the funeral home at 9:30 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Mary of Angels Church. The Rev. Gregory J. Dobson, Pastor, will celebrate. Burial will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery, Allegany.
