West Clarksville - James F. "Jim" LaFever "Loving Brother & Uncle"
James F. "Jim" LaFever, 75, of 8450 Stewart Road, passed away on Friday, April 20, 2018 at the Wellsville Manor Nursing Home, following a battle with cancer.
Jim was born on November 20, 1942 in Cuba and was a son of Delbert and Maude Hewitt LaFever. He was baptized in 1983 in the creek that runs through West Clarksville.
James worked many jobs in his lifetime, including 2 farms, the highway department of West Clarksville, Paul Nuu disposal, Witherells Dealership, The VanArnoms, Crown-Y Recycling, and Pepsi Cola of Olean. He loved music, dancing, gardening, his dogs, cats, and visiting friends and neighbors. Jim loved the Kopper Keg, Sloppy Joes, and to pray for people.
James is survived by; 2 sisters, Minnie (Monty) Case-Jennings of Belmont, and Clasa (Stanly) Brundage of Angelica, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
James was predeceased by; a sister Betty Hosmer-Boryszewski on June 30, 2008, a brother David R. LaFever on June 8, 1999, a niece Debbie Hosmer on June 23, 1983, and a nephew Steve Hosmer on April 2016.
Friends will be received at the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc., 24 Genesee Pkwy, Cuba on Saturday, April 28, 2018 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, at which time a Funeral Service will be held. The Rev. William Sylor, Pastor of the Genesis Bible Church, will officiate. Burial will be in the Cuba Cemetery.

Jim would like to thank Dr. Kurt Benham, for giving him back his eyesight from cataracts.
