Jacqueline C. Bergstrom of Queen Street passed away on Wednesday, December 25, 2024, at the Pines of Olean.
Jacqueline was born on November 1, 1933, in Olean, she was the daughter of Raymond and Ellen O’Brien McLaughlin. On December 23, 1950, she married Arthur E. Bergstrom, who predeceased her on November 8, 2010.
Jacqueline worked as a waitress for the Olean House, the Beef & Barrel, and the Heritage Inn. She enjoyed going to the casino, playing euchre, and spending time with her friends. She formerly attended the Basilica of St. Mary of the Angels and was a member of the “Red Hatters”.
Jacqueline is survived by her 4 children: Dawn (Gene) Senfield of New Smyrna, FL., Steven A. (Margaret “Peg”) Bergstrom of Olean, Cindy Carlson of Surprise, AZ., and Beth Anne Laos of Tucson, AZ., 12 grandchildren, and many great grandchildren.
Jacqueline was predeceased by her parents, her loving husband of almost 60 years, grandsons: John David Senfield, Enrico B. Laos, and Andreas B. Laos, a granddaughter, Katie Ann Carlson, a great grandson, Carson D. Senfield on September 17, 2022, a son-in-law, Scott Carlson, 2 brothers: Robert and Richard McLaughlin, and 5 sisters: June Peterson, Delores Weagraff, Shelby McLaughlin, Betty Bean, and Karen Hanzel.
Friends will be received at Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc., 646 E. State St. on Friday, January 3, 2024, from 10:00 to 11:00am at which time a memorial service will be held. Rev. F. Patrick Melfi will officiate. Burial will be in Mount View Cemetery. Online condolences may be made at www.letromcintoshspinkfuneralhome.com
