Jacquelin H. "Jackie" Finch of 2971 Back Hinsdale Road passed away Tuesday, December 4, 2012 in the Olean General Hospital following a lengthy illness surrounded by her family.
Jackie was born Jan. 7, 1947 in Allegany and was a daughter of Arthur E. and Ruth Wienk Cummins. On July 11, 1970 she married her husband of 42 years, Jack W. Finch, who survives.
Jackie graduated Allegany High School in 1965. She worked at ACME in Allegany and Cuba as an assembler for over 35 years, retiring in about 2005. Jackie is a former member of the St. John's Lutheran Church in Allegany. She is a life member of the St. Stephen's Club Auxiliary and a member of the Hinsdale American Legion Auxiliary Post #1434. Jackie enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, playing euchre, cooking, and watching soap operas. She loved watching the humming birds that would come to her hanging baskets every year. Jackie truly loved and enjoyed spending time with all of her family, especially all of her grandchildren.
Along with her loving husband, Jackie is survived by one son, Timothy L. Finch of Ceres; two daughters, Christina L. (Jim) Bloise of Olean, and Wendi F. Tyler of Richmond, VA; six grandchildren, Amber, Brandi, and Derek Finch, James "Bubbs" & Mariah Bloise, and Eddie Tyler; six great grandchildren; one brother, Gerald L. (Debra) Cummins of Allegany; one sister, Sue C. Hughes of Newnan, GA; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received Friday, Dec. 7, 2012 at the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc. #646 E. State St. Olean from 2 pm to 4 pm and 7 pm to 9 pm. Funeral and Committal Services will be held Saturday, Dec. 8, 2012 at 10:00 am. The Rev. Frank Hayman, Pastor of the Allegany Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will be in the Allegany Cemetery.
