Hinsdale – Helen A. Wagner “Loving Mother & Grandmother”
Helen A. Wagner formerly of Two Mile Road Olean NY and more recently of 920 Route 446 in Hinsdale passed away Sunday December 12th, 2021 in the Cuba Memorial Hospital nursing facility, following an lengthy illness.
Helen was born on August 19, 1932, in Olean. She was the daughter of Wesley Armstrong and Grace McClure Williams. On August 18th, 1951, at the Grace Alliance Church she married her loving husband of 50 years, Wayne R. Wagner, who predeceased her on October 25th, 2001.
Helen was formerly a member Grace Alliance Church in Olean where she was the pianist for many years. The church was very important to her since that is also where she married her husband. Helen would for many years play the piano or the organ for funeral in the church or at the funeral homes. She loved to take care of her family, baking, and cooking.
Helen is survived by her seven children: Richard A. (Cheryl) Wagner of Cape Corel, FL, Kenneth W. (Sue) Wagner of Morrisville, NY, Stephen W. (Kathy) Wagner of Hershey, PA, James E. (Sara) Wagner of Freemont, OH, Susan C. (Steve) Baldwin of Hinsdale, Donald R. (Hiram Nieves) Wagner of Cleveland, AL, Linda M. Hollamby of Olean, many grandchildren, great grandchildren & one great great Grandsons as well as several cousins.
Beside her loving husband, Helen is pre-deceased by five siblings Donald Williams, Ed Williams, Lillian Williams, Mildred Rose and her twin sister Ruth Williams.
Funeral Services will be private and held at the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc., 646 E. State St., Olean. The Rev. Terry Jenkes Pastor of Maplehurst Baptist Church, officiated Burial will be at the Hinsdale Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be to the Hinsdale Fire Department.
