Olean - Hazel E. Willard "Loving Mother, Grandmother, & Sister
Hazel E. Willard, of 207 Genesee St., passed away on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at the Olean General Hospital, following an illness.
Hazel was born on Sept. 19, 1928 in Wellsville and was the daughter of George Washington and Eva May Weber Lynn. She married Ora E. Willard, who predeceased her on Dec. 3, 1978.
Hazel was a devout church and, she was a member of the Little Valley VFW. Hazel enjoyed cooking and baking, but most of all she truly loved taking care of her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Hazel is survived by; 8 children, Marilyn A. Jackson of Bolivar, Melvin A. (Sue) Willard and Janice E. Cansdale both of Olean, Kevin A. (Deborah) Willard of Portville, Jacqueline E. (Wayne) of Parish, Mary A. Ryan of Olean, Timothy A. Willard of Wellsville, and Jonathon E. (Tracy) Willard of Lakeland, FL; 22 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; several great great granchildren; 3 sisters, Eleanor R. Coats of Wellsville, Carla M. Fischer of St. Clairs Shores, Michigan, and Kay S. (David) Croley of Bolivar; and many nieces and nephews.
Hazel was predeceased by; a daughter, Jane E. Bailey in 2013; a stepson Joseph E. Willard; and a brother Richard Lynn.
Friends will be received at the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc., 646 E. State Street, Olean on Thursday, January 10, 2019 from 1:00 to 2:00 pm, at which time a Memorial Service will be held. The Rev. David W. Herne, Pastor of the Heritage Aflame Ministries, will officiate. Burial will be in the Mt. View Cemetery in Olean.
