Guy N. Ingalls

Guy N. Ingalls, Jr. of 210 Abbotts Road passed away Tuesday August 26, 2008 at his Granddaughter's Home at 394 Abbotts Road. Mr. Ingalls was born on April 10 1924 in Cuba, NY and was the son of Guy N. and Beulah Royce Ingalls, Sr. He was married to Gertrude Blatchley who predeceased him on April 6, 2003. Mr. Ingalls served in the US Army during WW II from April 24, 1946 to March 25, 1947. He was a meat cutter and farmer and he also was a salesman for John Deere tractors. Mr. Ingalls was a superintendent for Town of Lyndon for 18 years from 1973 to retiring in 1981. Mr. Ingalls enjoyed hunting & fishing, cutting firewood and was an avid poker player. Mr. Ingalls was a life member of the Town Highway Superintendents Association of Cattaraugus County. Mr. Ingalls is survived by one son, Ted D. (Marsha) Ingalls of Cuba; two daughters, Bonnie L. Ingalls of Belmont and Delores A. Ingalls of Springville; two brothers, Pete (Gail) Ingalls of Cuba and Thomas (Mary Ellen) Ingalls of Colonial Beach, VA.; four grandchildren, Casey J. (Patti) Linderman, Jamie (Shane) Murphy, Benjamin and Katie Ingalls; three great grandchildren, Casey J. Linderman, Jr., Jacob P. Linderman and Laney S. Murphy; and a special sister-in-law, Delores Curry of Fillmore. Mr. Ingalls was pre-deceased by two sisters, Phyllis Gregory and Ellenette Hirt; and two brothers, Wilbur "Bud" Ingalls and William "Billy" Ingalls. Friends may attend a graveside service on Saturday, Aug. 30, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. in the Cuba Cemetery, Cuba, N.Y. The Rev. Leslie Chamber, Pastor of the West Clarksville Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial, will be in the Cuba Cemetery, Cuba. Arrangements are under the direction of the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc. #24 Genesee Pkwy Cuba, NY. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Home Care & Hospice #1225 West State Street, Olean, N.Y. 14760.
