Gretchen M. Randon of Henley Street passed away on Friday March 31, 2023, at 12:12am at Olean General Hospital.

 

Gretchen was born on August 29, 1945, in Buffalo and was the daughter of Arthur and Mary Zemke Reiss. On December 3, 1966, she married Conrad T. Randon.

 

Gretchen was a 1963 graduate of Kensington High School and went on to become a secretary. She loved to garden and lived on a small farm for many years. Gretchen was a long-standing member of Olean First Presbyterian Church and served as a deacon. She was a proud patriotic American that loved sports. She was an avid fan of her favorite teams, the Buffalo Bills, Buffalo Sabres, and the NY Yankees. Gretchen was famous for her spaghettis sauce and loved to do crossword puzzles and scratch offs. Gretchen spent the last years of her life at Brookside Community Church Home where she made many friends and will be dearly missed.

 

Gretchen is survived by her children, Marianne (David Dunn) Randon, Brian Randon, Melanie (Eric) Page, grandchildren, Drew (Clarisse Schwanz) Randon, Reiss Page, Robert Morgan, Taylor (Kevin O’Neil) Morgan, great grandchildren Isaac Randon, Gabriel, Asher, and Kammie O’Neil, Atticus Morgan, and her sister, Christine (Raymond) Hartman.

 

Gretchen was predeceased by her parents, her husband Conrad on June 25, 2005, and a daughter in law, Cammie Blake.

 

Friends will be received at Olean First Presbyterian Church, 212 Laurens Street on Saturday, May 6, 2023, from 1:00-2:00pm where a memorial service will be held, the Rev. Dr. Bruce Lavine will officiate.  Arrangements are under the direction of the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc., 646 E. State St., Olean.
