Machias – Greta P. Randolph “Loving Mothers & Grandmother”
Greta P Randolph of the Pines Health Care, formerly of 8959 Upper Street Rushford for over 50 years passed away at the Pines following a lengthy illness surrounded by her loving family.
Greta was born on December 17th, 1933, in Cattaraugus and was the daughter of Earl and Leona Crosley Rogers. On June 23rd, 1951, she married her loving husband Wayne D. Randolph who predeceased her on April 10th, 2000.
Greta formerly attended Rushford Methodist Church for many years and was a part of the Rushford Senior Citizen group. Greta worked for Jan and Bev’s Home Care as a home aid for about 10 years in the 70s and 80s. Greta enjoyed crocheting, cooking, baking and loved decorating for Christmas. She loved to make the holiday special for her family at Christmas time. Greta also enjoyed drawing, quilting, lawn sailing, and her flower garden. Greta enjoyed to make a house a home.
Greta is survived by her six children: Beverly R. (Edward) McVay of Freedom, Shirly M. Saulter of Rushford, Calvin L. Randolph of Ashford, Don B. Randolph of Florida, Steven C. Randolph of Olean, Doug K. (Alex) Randolph of Mt. Morris, four grandchildren; Jonathan, Jeffrey, Tonia, and Amanda, and ten great grandchildren.
Greta was predeceased by her four brothers; Earl Jr., Robert “Bob”, David, and Dennis, three sisters; Crystal Cucchiaro, Teresa Veno, and Maxine Martin, and one grandson; Andrew E. McVay.
