Olean-Frederick A. Lord “Loving Husband & Father”
Frederick A. Lord formerly of the Bahamas, passed away on Tuesday, June 21, 2023 at his home surrounded by his family.
Fred was born on April 23, 1943 in Nassau, Bahamas and was the son of Bertram and Lorraine Logan Lord. On May 24, 1968 in Nassau, he married the love of his life Gloria Louise Outten who survives.
Fred grew up and attended school in the Bahamas where he obtained a degree in Architecture. He did various jobs throughout his career including; selling insurance and working as a travel agent. He was a baker and fondly referred to as the “Rum Cake Man” and was the owner of “Gloria Bahamian D’Lites” here in Olean. Fred architecturally designed many homes in both the Bahamas and the US. He moved to Olean in 1993.
Fred was a member of the Hinsdale Kingdom Hall Jehovah Witness. He truly loved preaching the “Good News” of the Jehovah God which became his number one focus in later years.
Along with his loving wife of 55 years Gloria, Fred is survived by; 2 children, Valencia G. (Matthew) Doyle of Harriman and Frederick A. Lord Jr. of Rochester; 6 siblings, Dr. Earl (Cheryl) Cash, James (Cecelia) Rahming, Eugene (Barbara) Daniels Jr., Jane Daniels, Laurie (Harry) Robinson and Lawrence (Sharon) Daniels and many nieces and nephews.
Fred was predeceased by his parents and 2 brothers, Daniel Daniels and Gary Wright.
