Francis A. Bastow, of 2650 Wildcat Road, passed away Monday, February 9, 2015 at Strong Memorial Hospital. Francis was born July 26, 1967 in Olean and was a son of Thomas H. and Elizabeth D. Millard Bastow. On October 8, 2005 in Olean he married Sherry Lunn, who survives. Francis graduated from Olean High School. He served in the U.S. Marines from March 26, 1987 to January 13, 1989. Francis worked for both the Olean Times Herald and the Bradford Era delivering the Pennysaver and newspapers. Francis enjoyed hunting, fishing, and cooking out. He was an easy going outdoorsman. Francis would do anything for anyone but he truly loved his grandchildren. Along with his loving wife, Francis is survived by two children, Thomas W. Bastow of Olean, and Robert C. Bastow of Camp LeJeune, NC; three step children, James F. Skinner, Frederick J. Skinner, and Sonyea J. Skinner all of Olean; two grandchildren, Marcus W. and Maddison L. Skinner; and one brother, Thomas Bastow of Allegany. Friends will be received at the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc. #646 E. State Street Olean, New York 14760 on Friday, Feb. 13, 2015 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, at which time a Funeral Service will be held. The Rev. Steven W. Beattie, Pastor of the United Pentecostal Church, will officiate. Burial will be in the Allegany Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to the United Pentecostal Church, 1100 Homer Street, Olean, New York 14760. Online condolences may be made by clicking on the button above.
