Olean- Evan D. Bailey “Loving Son, Brother & Grandson”

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Evan D. Bailey, a cherished son, brother, nephew, and grandson. Evan, at the young age of 16, passed away leaving behind a void in the hearts of his loved ones.

Evan D. Bailey was born on October 13, 2006, in Olean and was the son of Erin M. McStraw.

Evan was a bright young man with a passion for music, video games, and cooking. He enjoyed spending his summers camping at Darien Lake and Kinzua, and was always happy to help his grandparents, Dan and Vicki Jenkins, with tasks around their home. He also enjoyed playing games at his great grandmother’s house.

Although Evan’s time with us was short he will always be remembered for his intelligence, kindness, and willingness to help others. He touched many lives during his time on earth and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Evan is survived by his mother and stepfather, Erin M. (John) McStraw, his sisters, Abby Bailey, Kasie McStraw, and Danielle McStraw, grandparents, Vicki and Dan Jenkins, his great grandmother, Phyllis Bentley, and his aunt and uncle, Lindsey and Steve McClain of Olean.

There will be a private service for the family and close friends to celebrate Evan’s life and to share memories of the times they had together. Arrangements are under the direction of the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc., 646 E. State St., Olean. Online condolences may be made at www.letromcintoshspinkfuneralhome.com

May Evan’s family and friends find comfort in the memories they shared with him and in the knowledge that he will always be with them in spirit. Rest in Peace, Evan.
