Friendship- Eugene R. Farr “Loving Brother & Uncle” 

 Eugene R. Farr of Friendship passed away on Thursday, January 23, 2025, at home of natural causes. 

 Gene was born on March 20, 1945, in Olean and was the son of George and Alta Farr. He married Eleanor Louise Baxter on March 1, 2003 who predeceased him on May 10, 2005. 

 He enjoyed fishing, hunting, riding four wheelers, family gatherings, and playing cards with family and friends. He was known for his wonderful sense of humor. 

 Gene worked for many years at Clark Brothers and John Ash Cleaners, both in Olean. 

 Gene is survived by two sisters, Josephine (Leroy) Knowlton of Olean and Marion (Woodrow) Braley of Friendship, three brothers, Jerry (Gladys) Farr of Bolivar, Tom (Ada) Farr of Olean, Sonny (Cathy) Farr of South Carolina, and many nieces and nephews. 

 Gene was predeceased by his wife Eleanor Farr, five brothers, Edward Farr, George Farr, Buzzy Farr, Herman Farr, and Lawrence Farr and three sisters, Marie Morris, Evelyn Paddock, and Dorothy Holly. 

Friends will be received at the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc., 646 E. State St., Olean on Saturday, February 1, 2025, from 10:00am to 12:00pm at which time a funeral service will be held. Pastor Duane Broadwell of the Friendship Bible Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Mount View Cemetery, Olean. Online condolences may be made at www.letromcintoshspinkfuneralhome.com
