Edward J. Isaman, 76, of Homosassa FL, formerly of Allegany, passed away peacefully at home on March 8th, 2024.


Ed was born May 16th, 1947, to John Merle and Alice (Randall) Isaman of Allegany, NY. After graduating from Allegany High School Edward proudly served our country and was a United States Army Veteran. After returning home to Allegany, Ed drove school bus and retired from Allegany Limestone Central Schools. Edward was a long-time member of The Allegany American Legion Post 892 where he acquired many friends who he considers family. Ed enjoyed a good game of euchre, Texas Holdem, or horseshoes. He even enjoyed a simple game of SKAT around the family table or having a bonfire. He was a good horseman and liked to ride side by sides. He played Santa Claus for the Santa Claus Lane Parade and for local Hospitals and Nursing Homes. Ed's friends and family meant the world to him.


Ed is survived by his 7 children Amy Wilson of Texas, Edward (Elizabeth) Isaman Jr. of Homosassa, FL., David (Tiffany) Isaman of Wingate, NC., Lionel Isaman of Little Valley, Jason Isaman of Allegany, Thomas (Casandra) Isaman of Limestone, Stacie (Andre) Byrd of TX., many many grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Edward lived a happy life watching then all grow up and keeping him young.


Ed was predeceased by his parents as well as two sisters Cheryl Lee Harrison of Allegany and Karen Andrews of Coudersport, PA.


Friends will be received on Thursday, March 14, 2024, from 3:00 to 6:00pm at the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc., 646 E. State St., Olean, where funeral services will be held Friday, March 15, 2024 at 11:00am, the Rev. Ronald Isaman will officiate. Full military honors will be accorded by the Allegany American Legion Charles Harbel Post 892 ritual team. Online condolences may be made at www.letromcintoshspinkfuneralhome.com
