Olean – Edna M. Erhard "Loving Wife, Mother, & Grandmother"
Edna M. Erhard, formerly of 453 Portville-Ceres Rd., Portville, passed away on Saturday, October 2, 2021, at the Pines Health & Rehab, following a lengthy illness.
Edna was born on November 3, 1937 in Portville and was a daughter of Gerald and Clella Appli Schoonmaker. On June 30, 1956, in Brocton, she married her husband of 65 years, John R. Erhard, who survives.
Edna was a 1955 graduate of Olean High School. She worked for several Portville businesses and retired in the late 1990's from "Eyes on Deck" in the pool area at the YMCA, all while raising her family. Edna was a 64 year member of the Olean and Allegany Free Methodist Churches, where she was formerly the Treasurer and was currently a member of the Creekside Chapel. Edna enjoyed vacationing at Myrtle Beach, SC, cross country skiing, bike riding, and camping, but she truly loved her husband, children, and grandchildren, who were the most important to her.
Along with her loving husband, John, Edna is survived by; 5 children, Linda J. (Ross) Gleason of Olean, Susie A. (Paul) Fisher of Arvada, CO, Mary Kay (John) Gethicker of Olean, Diane M. (Jim) Rambuski of Mayville, and John R. (Carman) Erhard, Jr. of Inwood, WV; 12 grandchildren, Angela, Christy, Rachel, Ryan, Jared, Tabitha, Curtis, Keith, Natasha, mary Kay, Maria, and Christopher; and 19 great grandchildren.
Edna was predeceased by 1 brother and 3 sisters.
Friends will be received at the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc., 646 E. State St., Olean, on Friday, October 8, 2021 from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon, at which time a Funeral Service will be held. The Rev. Adam Stein, Pastor of the Creekside Chapel, will officiate. Burial will be at the Allegany Cemetery in Allegany. Online condolences may be made at www.letromcintoshspinkfuneralhome.com.
