Earl M. Plaisted of 6 Woodruff St. passed away Sunday (Feb. 8, 2009) at Olean General Hospital.
He was born June 19, 1923, a son of Herman and Cecil Plaisted. On May 3, 1947, in Portville, he married Esther Mansfield, who predeceased him in June 2001.
Mr. Plaisted was an electrical worker at Acme Electric Corp. in Cuba for many years.
Surviving are a son, Bradley (Nannette) Plaisted of Cincinnati, Ohio; a daughter, Cynthia (John) Riningberg of Black Creek; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildred; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by two brothers, Lloyd and Leon Plaisted; and a sister, Rosetta Haskins.
Friends will be received at the Cuba Baptist Church on Wednesday (Feb. 11, 2009) from noon to 1 p.m., at which time a memorial service will be held. Mr. Plaisted's son, Bradley, of Trinity Bapist Church in Cincinnati will officiate.
