Earl F. Dutton of 2573 Dutton Road, Olean died Saturday, July 4, 2009 in the Erie County Medical Center.
Mr. Dutton was born on June 16, 1940 in Olean and was a son of Earl A. and Dorothy F. Isaman Dutton. On Aug. 14, 1958 in York South Carolina he married his wife 50 years Carol J. Skiver who survives. Mr. Dutton began working at the Department of Public Works for the Town Hinsdale as a truck driver and equipment operator for 30 years retiring in 1998. Prior to working for the Town he was an equipment operator on the Alleghany Reservoir - Kinzua Dam project. Mr. Dutton enjoyed collecting and working on tractors and working around his home.
Surviving Mr. Dutton besides his wife are two sons, Earl J. Dutton of Hinsdale, and Rodney F. Dutton of Portville; three daughters, Lisa J. (Victor "Barney") Clayson of Hinsdale, Tina R. (Jon) Rust of Great Valley, and Dina R. (Mark) Shaner of Hinsdale; 9 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; and a brother, Oscar E. Dutton of Hinsdale.
Mr. Dutton was pre-deceased by two brothers, Donald and Harold Dutton, and a sister, Verdelia Skiver.
Friends will be received on Tuesday, July 7, 2009 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM in the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc. #646 E. State Street, Olean. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday, July 8, 2009 at 10:00 AM. The Rev. Dr. Derek J. Cheek, Pastor of the Immanuel Lutheran Church, will officiate. Burial will be in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Olean.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
