Delores Kay Barton

            Dolores Kay Barton, of 110 North 10th Street, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 18, 2018 at her home, following a lengthy illness.

            Kay was born on Sept. 18, 1933 in Olean and was a daughter of Landis B. and Florence W. Kring Saylor.  On Sept. 11, 1953 in Olean, she married her husband of 52 years, Robert C. Barton, who predeceased her on March 22, 2006.

            Kay, being a life-long resident of Olean, was a 1951 graduate of Olean High School.  She worked at Bradner's Furniture Store, as well as, Dresser Clark before going to work for the Association of the Blind and Visually Impaired (ABVI), from where she retired.  She enjoyed pencil drawing and playing word games on the internet with friends.

            Kay is survived by a sister, Carol Stoever of Rush, NY and many nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews, and great great nieces and great great nephews.

            Along with her loving husband, Kay was predeceased by; 4 siblings, Dorothy Haas, William M. Saylor, Eleanor Wyckoff, and Janet Hopkins.

Friends will be received at the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc., 646 E. State Street, Olean, on Thursday, Aug. 23, 2018 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, at which time a Funeral Service will be held. The Rev. Richard N. Keel will officiate.  Burial will be at the Mt. View Cemetery in Olean.
