Allegany- Deanna Lee McCarthy “Local Beautician”

 Deanna L. McCarthy of Colonial Village Lot 152, formerly of 1108 River Street, Olean passed away peacefully on Friday, October 25, 2024 at her home. 

 Deanna was born March 19, 1938 in Bradford, PA and was the daughter of Harold William and Iona Isabelle Slingerland Patterson. On April 7, 1960 she married Donald J. “Little Mac” McCarthy who predeceased her on November 10, 1992.

 Deanna was a Olean High School graduate. She attended Continental School of Beauty. Deanna owned and operated Deanna’s Beauty Salon for about 40 years. 

 Deanna was an avid reader and card player; she was a very outgoing person and was always a very big presents in any room she walked into. Deanna was a volunteer for a number of places including the Department of Aging, the Olean Public Library and the St. Stephen’s Club Lady’s Auxiliary. 

 Deanna is survived by; 4 sons, Michael A. “Mac” (Brenda) McCarthy of Olean, Patrick E. (Jennifer) McCarthy of Hillsborough, NJ, Kevin A. (Sharon) McCarthy of Niceville, FL and Lee M. (Lori Previty) McCarthy of Hinsdale and Bowling Green, FL; 5 granddaughters, Erin, Jackie, Shannon, Kelly and Kaitlyn; 6 great grandchildren, Chloe, Draven, Jaime, Otto, Reagan and Mackenzie; and special nieces, Elizabeth (Steve) DiNolfo-Jergensmeyer of Arlington, MA and Lisa (Joe) Freach of Tobyhanna, PA.

 Along with her loving husband, Donald, Deanna was predeceased by; her parents and a very special sister, Linda DiNolfo on January 22, 2022.

A private graveside service will be held in St. Bonaventure Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc., 646 E. State St., Olean. Online condolences may be made at www.letromcintoshspinkfuneralhome.com
