David P. Grandusky, 75, passed away on Saturday February 22, 2025 at the Olean General Hospital surrounded by his loving wife and family.

David was born on December 17, 1949, and was the son of Emil and Alyce Kelly Grandusky. On October 19, 1974 he married Eva Amore who survives.

David graduated from Olean High School in 1969. He went on to join the Navy and serve in Vietnam. David worked at Dresser-Rand for 42 years, where he built many lasting friendships. He also found joy in traveling with his wife, Eva, and spent much of his free time supporting his kids and grandchildren in their sporting and extracurricular endeavors. A proud member of both the Pulaski Club and the St. Stephen’s Club in Olean, David will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, dad jokes and pride and love for his family and friends.

David was a passionate and adventurous individual. He had a passion for skiing and scuba diving, and he dedicated much of his younger years to these hobbies, becoming a skilled instructor in both fields. David was a proud member of the Olean Scuba Dive Team, where he loved the thrill of underwater exploration. An avid car enthusiast, he was also a member of the Street Masters Car Club, where he loved showcasing his beloved 1953 Ford F-100 pickup. In addition to his love for cars and diving, David enjoyed spending time on the golf course, with friends.

His love for adventure also led him and his wife to work the grid at Watkins Glen and other tracks along the East Coast, a role he loved throughout his retirement years.

Along with his loving wife of 50 years, Eva Grandusky, David is survived by; two daughters, Jessica (Steve Geary) Grandusky and Jennifer (Joshua Austin) Grandusky, both of Olean; five grandchildren, Tanner Meyer, Tyler (Jerica Smith) Meyer, Sydnie Ellman, Cole Keesler, and Cameron Keesler; and one great-grandchild, Octavian Meyer. Two sister-in-laws Linda (Robert) McDonald, LuAnn (Jeffery) Hensel of Allegany and several nieces and nephews.

David was predeceased by his parents, his sister, Edith “Pat” and Harold “Bud” Ducey.

David’s family and friends will forever cherish his memory, and his legacy of love, generosity and adventure will live on through them. As a diehard lifetime Buffalo Bills fan, through the good and the bad, he had a final message… “God Bless! I love you! Go Bills!”
