Coleen A. Brophy passed away Sunday November 22, 2009 at the home of her daughter Mikelyn C. Brophy at 1499 South Ave.
Coleen was born Nov. 24, 1960 in Moncton New Brunswick Canada and was a daughter of Bernard and Corinne Hebert Ahearn who survives.
Coleen was a 1978 graduate of Donaldsonville High School and also received an Associate Degree from JCC in 1991. She enjoyed being at home taking care of her children and she also enjoyed music, dancing, socializing, reading and her pets including her fish.
Surviving Coleen besides her patents of Donaldsonville Louisiana are four daughters, Mikelyn C. "Mikey" Brophy of Olean, June A. Crawford of Olean, Mahli P. Brophy of Olean, and Corinne E. Penston of Japan; a brother, John M. Ahearn of Olean; four sisters, Kelly A. (Scott) Pouletto of Donaldsonville, Louisiana; Christine E. (John) Chapman of Olean, Elizabeth M. Ahearn of Boston, Mass.; and Caroline M. (Larry) Abbott of Louisville, Kentucky; a granddaughter, Miley S. Crawford; many nieces and nephews; and several close and supportive friends including her companion Nicholas J. Penston of Olean.
Friends will be received in the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc. #646 E. State Street, Olean on Wednesday, Nov. 25, 2009 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 at which time a Memorial Service will be held. Sr. Regina Gertrude Aman OSF of St. Mary of the Angels Church will officiate.
