Portville- Christine M. Rubick “Loving Daughter, Sister & Aunt”
Christine M. Rubick formerly of 1542 Lillibridge Road, and the Portville Manor, passed away on Friday, September 9, 2022 at the Wellsville Manor.
Christine was born on November 5, 1949 in Olean and was the daughter of Roswell G. “Roz” and Mary L. “Manya” Kula Hill. On November 15, 1969 at the St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church in Olean she married the love of her life Frank A. Rubick who predeceased her on September 16, 2003.
Christine was a Portville Central School class of 1967 graduate. She attended Cazenovia before graduation from OBI with an associates degree in business management she also attended JCC. Christine worked for Project Head Start for over 20 years then she went to work at Directions of Independent Living for about 5 years until she retired in 2012. She was a member of Believers Chapel.
Christine enjoyed painting pictures, landscapes and still life’s. She loved to dance, listen to music and fashion. Christine even put on a fashion show as a fundraiser for the Head Start Program. She had a passion for animals and was against animal cruelty. Christine was a lifetime St. Bonaventure Basketball fan.
Christine is survived by; 4 siblings, Annette M. Seybert of Portville, Grant R. (Jenni) Hill of Olean, Lorel Jo (Glenn) Guarino of Henrietta and Melissa J. (Tod) Husted of Chili and many nieces and nephews.
Along with her husband, Frank, Christine was predeceased by her father and brother in law, Rick Seybert.
A graveside memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 17, 2022 at 12:00 PM at St. Bonaventure Cemetery. The Rev. Andy Hall will officiate.
