Olean- Cheryl A. LaRue “Loving Mother & Grandmother”
Cheryl A. LaRue formerly of 2009 W. State Street passed away on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at the Cuba Memorial Hospital.
Cheryl was born March 6, 1949 in Olean and was a daughter of Harold Andrew and Helen Joan Reck Long.
Cheryl was a graduate of Olean High School. She was a records clerk for the Olean Police Department for many years.
Cheryl enjoyed doing word puzzles, collecting angel knickknacks and sewing thimbles, attending baseball games, winterguard shows, and going to breakfast with her mom, sister, son and her closest friends. Most importantly she loved her grandchildren.
Along with her mother, Joan, Cheryl is survived by; 2 sons, William T. “Billy” LaRue and Michael A. (Caitlin) LaRue; 4 grandchildren, Shaylyn R. Stanczykowski, Tré M. LaRue, Olivia F. LaRue and Harper R. LaRue; 4 sisters, Barb Quinlan, Bonnie (John) Kuhn, Susie (Ted) App and Christine (Dan) Thompson and many nieces and nephews.
Cheryl was predeceased by; a son Timothy M. Larue, father Harald A. Long Jr., 2 siblings Harald A. “Andy” Long III and Sandra E. Sweet.
Friends will be received at the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc., 646 E. State St., Olean on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at which time a funeral service will be held.
