Cameron Allyson Wormer, 30, passed away on Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City following a lengthy illness. Born on August 13, 1983 in Olean, New York, she was the daughter of Dr. Duncan C. and Mary Ellen Linnan Wormer.
Camy was a 2001 graduate of Olean High School and attended St. Bonaventure University and the State University of NY at Geneseo, majoring in Psychology with minors in Spanish and Biology. She was a creative and brilliant intellect with a great sense of humor and wit. During her long hospitalization at Strong Memorial and Mount Sinai, she became the favorite patient of so many doctors, nurses, and staff members. A curious and loving person, she touched the lives of so many people. Her premature passing is a loss to us all.
She is survived by her parents and by her siblings: Crystal (Wormer) Confer and Michele Coletti of Jacksonville, Florida; Sallie Wormer of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; Richard Coletti of Portville, New York; Dr. Duncan Wormer, Cathy (Wormer) Feely, and Judith (Wormer) Coles, all of Rochester, New York; Liz (Wormer) Paquette and Andrew Wormer of Vermont; and Mary Jean (Wormer) Muncy of Keller, Texas. She also had a large extended family of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was predeceased by her grandparents, Fred and Frieda Linnan of Olean, New York, and Dr. Duncan and Catherine Wormer of Portville, New York.
There will be no visitation. A memorial service was held at the Portville Presbyterian Church on Saturday, Nov. 9 at 2:00 pm. Arrangements are under the direction of the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc. #646 E. State Street Olean, New York 14760.
