Bonnie L. Denning of 314 South 3rd Street, passed away on Friday, Dec. 18, 2015 at home surrounded by her loving husband & family following a short but courageous battle with cancer.
Bonnie was born on Sept. 9, 1945 in Lufkin, Texas and was a daughter of Guy David and Joyce Elizabeth Long, Sr. She was formerly married to Clifford Thompson, Sr. and then to Gerald Ross Nichols, who pre-deceased her on Oct. 26, 1999. on Aug. 21, 2001 in Belmont she married Jack E. Denning, who survives.
Bonnie worked in a couple of places including the DeSoto Hotel and also McCone industries in Olean. And while they lived in Texas she was a waitress and also worked in a candy factory. She will be remembered as a very loving and caring wife & friend to many people who loved her and will miss her dearly.
Surviving Bonnie besides her loving husband are three sons, Clifford Thompson., Jr. of Hinsdale, Gerald Nichols of Florida, and Charles David Thompson of Tyler, Texas; two grandchildren; four great grand children; five siblings, Miles Long of Kanases City, Kanases, Billy (Linda) Long, Helen Martin, and Guy Long all of Nacogdoches, Texas, and James Long of Allegany; several nieces and nephews; and a many many "Adoptive Children" who called her "Mom".
In addition to her husband Gerald, Bonnie was pre-deceased by a son, James "Bo" E. Thompson, who passed away on Aug. 24, 2013.
