Olean- Beatrice Kathleen Jehlen “Loving Wife, Sister & Aunt”
Kathy Jehlen, of Indiana Ave, passed away Friday, May 27, 2022, at Buffalo General Hospital, following a brief illness.
She was born April 30, 1956, in Elizabeth, NJ and was a daughter of Jean Moses and Anthony DiPaola. Kathy married Scott Jehlen, who survives.

Kathy attended Olean High School. She worked in various health care locations including a nursing home, a veterinary clinic, a hospital, and at CAReS program on East Henley Street in Olean. But her favorite job was helping and caring for others.
Kathy enjoyed her work, gardening and most of all she loved spending time with her nieces and nephews. Aunt Kathy was everyone’s favorite aunt and will always hold a special place in their hearts.
In addition to her husband, Scott, she is survived by 5 siblings Anthony (Judy) DiPaola of Atlanta, Georgia, Karen (Joe) Caya of Hinsdale, Michael (Caroline) DiPaola, George (Christine) Moses, Pamela (Robert) Devling of Olean along with many nieces & nephews.
Kathy is pre-deceased by her mother and a brother Daniel DiPaola, who passed on May 26, 2022.
Friends will be received on Thursday June 2, 2022, in the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc., 646 E. State St., Olean, from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Funeral services will be held on Friday June 3, 2022, beginning with a prayer service at the funeral home at 9:30am followed by a 10:00am Mass of Christian Burial at the Basilica of St. Mary’s of the Angels. Burial will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery in Allegany. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
