Anne B. McNall formerly of 56 North Second Street, passed away Friday, June 1, 2012 in the Absolut at Allegany Nursing Home, flowing a lengthy illness.
Anne was born July 15, 1917 in Ithaca, NY and was a daughter of Harry G. and Helen Dudley Bull. In 1939 in Ithaca she married her husband Fredlee M. McNall who pre-deceased her on Aug. 31, 1982.
Anne was a 1935 graduate of Ithaca High School. She received a BS in Home Economics from Cornell University in 1939. They moved to Olean in 1941 and Allegany in 1946. Anne was a volunteer at the Allegany Public Library for many years. She enjoyed traveling, taking an active roll in her children lives including being a den mother, and some crafts including painting, carving, knitting and sewing.
Anne is survived by a son, Stephen M. (Carole) McNall of Olean; three grand-daughters, Jody (Bobby) Dickey of Del Norte, CO., Amy (Wade) Caven of Chetwynd, British Columbia, and Holly (Lucas) Carinci-Sessions of Del Norte, CO.; two great grandchildren, Erin Caven and Landon Sessions; and a brother, Gifford Bull of Virginia.
Anne was pre-deceased by her husband; a son, Arthur R. McNall on March 16, 1979; and four siblings, Mary Schaffner, Alice Countryman, Christopher Bull and Helen Neuhaus.
There will be no public visitation and memorial services will be held at a date and time to be announced. Memorials may be made to the Allegany Public Library 90 West Main Street, Allegany, NY 14706, Roswell Park Cancer Institute or to the Cornell University.
