Albert C. Ensell

Olean – Albert C. Ensell "Retired Olean Firefighter" Albert C. Ensell, of 128 S. 10th St., passed away on Monday, September 27, 2021, at the Cuba Memorial Hospital Palliative Care, following an illness. Albert was born on December 1, 1935 in Olean and was a son of Samuel and Lucille Chesbro Ensell. On November 21, 1959, in Allegany, he married his wife of 61 years, Patricia A. Kelley, who survives. Albert was a 1953 graduate of Olean High School. He served in the US Army from November 1, 1955 to October 31, 1958. Albert began working as a firefighter for the City of Olean in 1963 and retired 21 years later in 1984. He was formerly a member of the Olean First Presbyterian Church. Albert enjoyed boating at Kinzua and working around his home, but he truly loved his family, especially spending time with his grandchildren, great grandchildren and his little "Peanut" a Chihuahua. Along with his loving wife, Pat, Albert is survived by; 5 children, Audrey C. (John) Hale of Olean, Scott F. (Jane) Ensell of Pennsauken, NJ, Daniel A. Ensell of Oil City, PA, Alan M. (Dianne) Ensell of Brooksville, FL, and Mary Lynne Ensell of Wisconsin; 10 grandchildren; and 2 great grandchildren. Albert was predeceased by 3 brothers, Samuel, Maurice, and James Ensell and 1 grandson, Cody A. Safford on October 15, 2000. As per Albert's wishes, there will be no Services at this time.
