Theresa M. Ervay of 1714 Godfrey Hollow Road went to be with her Lord on Friday, May 01, 2009 at the Cuba Skilled Nursing Facility.
Mrs. Ervay was born in Olean, New York on April 25, 1939, a daughter of John D. and Margaret Palko Hanobeck. On October 3, 1959 she married Smith Junior Ervay at his parents home.
Mrs. Ervay was a retired machine operator at Olean Advanced Products Corp. of Olean, New York. She was an awesome cook who also enjoyed crocheting, scrapbooking, crossword puzzles, and computer games. A avid John Wayne fan she was also known for crocheting "Boo Boo Bears" for children at Olean General Hospital's Lab, but most of all she loved the times she spent with her children, Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.
Mrs. Ervay is survived by a son, Scott J. (Lori) Ervay of Olean; five daughters, Nacy A. (Ernie Taylor) Ervay of Portville, Barbara J. (Lester) Baker of Portville, Deborah L. (Gregory) Marcellin of Olean, Evie S. Hillman of Wellsville, and Peggy A. (Donald) Shoup of Olean; 13 Grandchildren; 2 Great Grandchildren; one sister, Jean Tarbox of Fredonia; and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Ervay was predeceased by her husband of 33 years; a brother, James Hanobeck and a grandson, Eric S. Covert.
Friends will be received on Sunday, May 3, 2009 from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 at the Letro-McIntosh Funeral Home, Inc. 24 Genesee Pkwy. Cuba, New York. Funeral and committal services will be held on Monday at 2:00 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Pleasant Valley Cemetery.
