Sarah N. Stone of Olean passed away Tuesday, August 16, 2011 at the Pines Health and Rehabilitation Center in Olean, NY. Mrs. Stone was born March 13, 1933 in Clarkston, NY and was a daughter of Herbert and Mable (Crouse) Stamp. On May 18, 1963 she married William A. Brown, Sr. who predeceased her in February of 1972. Later on October 8, 1977 Sarah married Charles L. Stone who predeceased her in October of 1979. Sarah enjoyed life and loved to cook, she was well known for her family meals she loved to cook for her family. She liked to watch comedy movies and liked to listen to country & country gospel music. Surviving Mrs. Stone are two sons, William A. (Tina) Brown, Jr. of Olean, and Ernest C. Brown of Salamanca, NY; one daughter, Stephanie Stamp of Hornell, NY; five grandchildren; four brothers, Lyman Stamp, Nelson Stamp, Berton Stamp, and David Stamp Mrs. Stone was pre-deceased by one daughter, Sarah A. Finch; three sisters, Martha Rounds, Margaret Lipkey, and Ruth Stamp; and two brothers, Herbert and James Stamp. At Mrs. Stones request there will be no visitation, there will be a memorial service held at the Central Baptist Church, 701 West State Street Olean, NY on Saturday August 27, 2011 at 11:00 am.
