Olean – Rebecca C. " Becky" Cyzeski "Loving & Devoted Wife, Mother, & Grandmother"
Rebecca C. "Becky" Cyzeski was peacefully released to the loving arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, at her home, on Wed. May 2, 2018, surrounded by her loving husband, family, and her Pastor Steven Beattie, following a lengthy illness.
Becky was born on April 30, 1951 in Port Allegany, PA and was a daughter of Gordon and Noreen Smith Chapin. On April 18, 1970 in Olean, she married her husband of 48 years, Jack L. Cyzeski, who survives.
Becky was a 1969 graduate of Olean High School. She dedicated 27 years of her life to working with children with special needs. Becky touched the lives of those she worked with through her genuine compassion, carefree spirit, and patience.
Becky's pride and joy was her family, especially her 2 children, 4 grandchildren, and 1 great grandson. She adored them all dearly and graciously left them with a legacy of eternal and cherished memories. Becky enjoyed cooking Sunday dinners to spend time with her family up until her health deteriorated.
Becky will be remembered for her enduring love, compassion, vivacious personality, and unforgettable laughter. Becky's family would like to thank a compassionate friend and caretaker, Paula Harris, who was there for them throughout Becky's deteriorating illness.
Along with her loving and devoted husband, Becky is survived by; 2 children, Tammy S. (Mike) Ketchner and Chris J. Cyzeski both of Olean; 4 grandchildren, Taylor C. Ketchner, Marissa C. Ketchner, Madisyn N. Ketchner, and Ryan M. Ketchner; 1 great grandson, Asher; 1 sister, Judith McHenry of Cuba, and nieces and nephews.
Becky was predeceased by; her parents, and 2 brothers, an Infant Rusty Chapin and David Chapin.
Friends will be received at the United Pentecostal Church on Sunday, May 6, 2018 from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm. A Funeral Celebration of Life Service will be held immediately following visitation. The Rev. Steven W. Beattie, Pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery, Allegany, New York.
In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to the United Pentecostal Church, 1100 Homer Street, Olean, New York 14760.
