Mary R. Greek, of 7780 B Route 305, passed away Sunday, Dec. 13, 2015 at the Buffalo General Hospital, following an illness.
Mary was born Feb. 23, 1937 in Hume and was the daughter of the late Clarence and Margaret Hull Hamer. She was formerly married to Charles Greek.
Mary Went to Black Creek and also Cuba schools. She worked at Cuba Cookie Factory, Perry Knitting Mill in Fillmore, and then at Jeans Truck Stop in Belfast.
Mary lived most of her life in the Belfast and Cuba area. She loved to spend time with her family, camping, playing bingo or cards, and also crocheting stuff for her family and friends.
Mary is survived by two sons, Matt (Buffy) Greek of Belfast, and Leon (Robyn McKelvey) of New Hudson; two grandsons, Charles (Crystal Lett) Hamer of Cuba, and Kennith Greek of Belfast; two step grandsons, Dakota Thompson & Noah Campbell of New Hudson; two step granddaughters, Cheyanna Campbell and Sharyssa McKelvey of New Hudson; two great grandchildren, Charles Sorter & Lanx Hamer of Cuba; one step great grandson, Richard Lett of Cuba; two sisters, Avanelle Slocum of Cuba, and Yvonne (Jim) McKelvey of Olean; one brother, Forrest Hamer of Caneadea; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Jane "Missy" Lockwood of Belfast.
Along with her parents, Mary was predeceased by a brother, William Hamer; and a step brother, Donald VanBuskirt
At Mary's request, there will be no public visitation or funeral services. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc., 24 Genesee Pkwy, Cuba.
