David M. Manion

David M. Manion of 2513 West Five Mile Road, passed away Saturday, Jan. 7, 2017 from injuries sustained in a snowmobiling accident. David was born Aug. 11, 1957 in Buffalo and was a son of James W. and Shirley M. Heidel Manion. He graduated from Allegany High School in 1975. David served as a mechanic in the US Army from Sept. 29, 1975 to Sept. 9, 1977. Following his service he was a "Roadie" / lightman for the local band "West" in the late 1980's and early 1990's. He also worked as an auto mechanic for A1 Auto for a period of time as will as working as a contractor for a number of places before starting Gutter Pro in 1998 which he was still currently operating. David will be remembered as a very spiritual man who enjoyed antique cars (especially late 1960's Muscle Car Pontiacs), historical places, sight seeing and traveling. He was an adventurous man who lived life and enjoyed being in the outdoors. David is survived by his mother, Shirley Manion of Bradford, PA; one daughter, Cassie M. (Bobby) Rogers of Cleveland, GA; one granddaughter, Autumn M. Rogers; three siblings, Cathy M. (James) Cooney of Henderson, NV, Donald P. Manion of Allegany, and Judy C. Trussell of Mission Viejo, CA; and several nieces & nephews. David was predeceased by his father, James W. Manion on August 2, 2012; his 20 year companion, Phyllis B. Dickinson on May 15, 2014; and a sister, Patricia A. Manion on Oct. 21, 2001. Friends will be received at the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc. #646 E. State St., Olean, on Friday, Jan. 13, 2017 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, Jan. 14, 2017 at 10:00 AM. The Rev. Sean D. Obergfell, Pastor of the Believer's Chapel, will officiate. Burial will be in the SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery in Arcade.
