Charles R. "Doc" Fadale, 77, of 2059 Union Valley Road, passed away on Tuesday Dec. 25, 2012 at home surrounded by his loving family. Doc was born on December 24, 1935 in Lackawanna and was a son of Charles & Margaret Barraducci Fadale. On December 27, 1964 in Amhurst , he married his wife of 47 years, Mary Ann Frank, who survives. Doc was a 1954 graduate of Ellicottville Central School. He served in the U.S. Navy from Oct. 31, 1955 to Sept. 6, 1958. Doc was self employed since 1963 in various business including auto sales and a gun dealer. He started his own the hair salon, Doc's Classic Cuts, in Cuba in 1999 which he ran until his retirement in May of 2012. Doc also ran the a womens's fitness center "Body Perfect" in Cuba. Doc was an avid hunter and enjoyed football and was a member of the NRA. In addition to his loving wife, Mary Ann, Doc is survived by three children, Russell J. Fadale of Olean, Gina M. Legere of Olean, and Andrew C. (Morgan) Fadale of Hinsdale; four grandchildren, Cadet M. Bryan Legere, National Guard, ROTC of St. Bonaventure University; SN Sarah G. Legere, U.S. Navy of Palatine Illinois; Kyle R. Legere, and Alex G. Woodward; one brother, Donald E. Fadale of Olean; and many cousins. Friends may call on Sunday Dec. 30, 2012 at the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, 646 East State Street from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, and on Monday Dec. 31, 2012 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at which time Funeral and Committal Services and full military honor's accorded by the Allegany American Legion Charles Harbell Post 892 Ritual Team. The Rev. Larry A. Poelma Pastor of the Cuba First Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will be at Sunset Hill Cemetery, Ellicottville. In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to a charity of the donor's choice. Online condolences may be made by clicking on the button above.
