Betty Ruth Wilber Pixley

Betty Ruth Wilber Pixley, age 89, passed away peacefully in her sleep Sunday, July 5, 2015 in St. Petersburg, FL. Mrs. Pixley was born May 3, 1926 in Olean and was a daughter of Clarence and Winifred Wilber. She attended the US Cadet Nurse Corps in Bayonne, NJ. Mrs. Pixley was a registered nurse for over 50 years at the Cattaraugus County Health Department, Indian Health Services in AZ and the Pinellas County Health Department in Florida. Mrs. Pixley is survived by two daughters, Michelle (Bob) Pascucci of Lexington, KY, and Dawn (Steve) Cushman of St. Petersburg, FL; three grandchildren, Cristen Pascucci, Matthew (Rebekah) Pascucci, and Elise (Scott) Sebastian; six great grandchildren; a sister, Carol (Larry) Nenno of Plant City, FL/Olean; and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Pixley was preceded in death by her husband, Duane (Dewey) Pixley; a son, Terrence Lee Pixley; and a sister, Helen (Bud) Fortner. Friends will be received at the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc., #646 E. State St., Olean, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at which time a Remembrance Celebration will take place.
