Gary L. Tarr, Jr. of 43 Jefferson St., passed away on Saturday, July 29, 2017 at the Erie County Medical Center, shortly after arrival. Gary was born on Dec. 6, 1982 in Olean and was a son of Gary L. and Angelic R. Wilber Tarr, Sr. He was formerly married to Staci L. Tigue. Gary was a 2001 graduate of Franklinville High School. He worked for a period of time at Highland Plastics in Salamanca, Farnsworth Cookies in Cuba and Childs Blueberry Farm in Allegany until he became disabled. Gary enjoyed bingo, fishing, hunting, scratch offs, playing poker, and camping, but he truly enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his children. Gary is survived by his parents, Gary and Angelic Tarr, Sr. of Allegany; three children, Gary L. Tarr, III, Nithdaniel Tarr, and Stormey Lynn Tarr all of Franklinville; a loving companion, Jill Sandbrow, with whom he lived; four siblings, Amanda L. (Troy) Bish of Allegany, Mark D. (Dawn) Tarr of Limestone, Mary E. (Jason) Miller of Portville and Denise M. Lecceardone of Tennessee; maternal grandmother, Patricia Michaels of Warsaw; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, & cousins. Gary was predeceased by a daughter, Angel R. Tarr in 2003. Friends will be received at the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc., #646 E. State Street, Olean on Wednesday, Aug. 2, 2017 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, at which time a Funeral Service will be held. The Rev. David W. Herne, Pastor of the Southside Chapel in Olean, will officiate.
